Japanese Roji Style garden

A garden for the owner who has strong interest to Japanese culture.
The designed area is at the front of main entrance and only a path leads the backyard. The space has to be not only a functional path yet main entrance feature. Natural granite stepping stones as a main garden feature, the rocks shape and size are carefully selected and composed the path. The layout and organic material selection and imperfection concept from Zen philosophy.
“Roji” is a term of traditional Japanese garden, the path connects to the tea ceremony house. Passing through the garden is a transition of mindfulness, the garden is constructed in minimal, organic and with limited artificial objects.
