Native plants with a hint of Japanese garden concept

Completed in 2020

The garden is designed in a minimal and sustainable manner for a family who has Australian-Japanese background.

The project locates in the coastal area, the site is exposed to the north and west sun, under the limited ground nutrient. Planting palette are selected with 90% of native species and 10% of Japanese / Asian origin plants placed in the shady area, designed to be irrigated with minimal rain water to flourished throughout the year.

Australian bluestone pavers and Silvertop Ash timber battening screening creates modern Australian atmosphere. The bluestone steppers are laid and formed a meandering path in the native plants as it guide the visitors to the family entertain area. The idea is coming from the concept of Japanese Roji garden.
